I am giving one star because zero is not possible. The airport is so outdated in terms of rules, technology, and structure that it seems built by the ancient Romans — if it weren’t for the fact that the Romans would probably have run it better. On a human level, it is a roll of the dice: some professionals are kind, patient, and polite, as anyone who works honestly knows how to be and knows they ought to be, while others left me truly wondering, with some naïveté, how they manage to keep their jobs, if ethics alone were not enough. Moreover, one separate note: it is shameful to consider it acceptable that someone works in direct contact with people, in an international transit place, without knowing any language other than French and without even making an effort to communicate in another way, even by gestures. I consider this very serious, if not nonsense, and I am glad it's not me, I would be at least ashemed.

Completely crazy transit in Terminal 2, absolutely deplorable. If this is the "Côte d'Azur" exclusive welcome you market, you'd better just give up. This joke of a terminal should be closed down: they rudely herd you time and again into interminable rows like cattle, featuring an outrageous line to board in gate A between a wall and a fence where they keep you for half an hour despite there being wider waiting halls a few meters away. They also force you to go out of the aiport and back in again if you have a connecting flight (of course passing through full-blown passport control despite coming from a Schengen flight, which should be illegal or a rare exception), to then insist on you separating liquids in little plastic bags (at least they hand them out) like some bad remake of "security measures" already outdated 10 years ago. The shitty overpriced "restaurants" with soggy sandwiches don't accept paid VIP memberships like they're marketed to online... but the cherry on the cake is that half the staff don't even speak English at an international airport!! Not to speak of the atmosphere, more like a jail or detention center with grates and metal barriers everywhere than a civilian travel facility, including I kid you not, blocked emergency gates tied shut! Never again, enjoy your row of barely functional shipping containers you call an "airport".

Absolutely awful airport. Especially terminal 2. Organisation after passport control on departure is non-existent with no seating, rude staff, no aircon and nowhere to refill water bottles which in 2026 is just ridiculous. Avoid if you can.
